d’bi.young anitafrika’s new volume of collected dub poems, dubbin poetry demonstrates the practice, pedagogy and politics of her anti-colonial queered Black feminist praxis. The book is the first title in her dubbin series chronicling the continued evolution of her Dub poetics as she furthers her experimentation of moving Dub poetry in Dubbin Theatre.

The volume embodies twenty years of writings and features three previously published books: art on black (Women’s press, 2006), rivers & other blackness between us (Women’s press, 2007) and Oya (Spolrusie Publishing, 2014); as well as a new title — black love matters — with monologues and scenes from her most celebrated theatrical productions and new dub poems, only available in this volume.
